Helicopters and Air AmbulancesAir AmbulanceMade by Siku. It is to a scale of 1:55, which is smaller than the other ambulances which are all about 1:43, and much smaller than nearly all of my slotcars which are about 1:32, but who cares because it looks so good and it will go so well with the Medical Centre. Also if we wanted hyper-realism we would not be racing plastic cars around a plastic track. This is Adam's ambulance. ADAC Air AmbulanceMade by Siku. Real Air AmbulanceThis is my local Air Ambulance. The above model helicopter is the same type of helicopter as this real Air Ambulance. It is also yellow and sponsored by a motoring organisation. Fire and Rescue Service HelicopterThis helicopter is in mint condition and I have all the parts except for the box. I think it is made by Halsall. This helicopter is of a smaller scale still than my others. Still looks nice. Pictures soon RAF Rescue HelicopterI suspect the RAF don't actually have any helicopters like this. They do have yellow rescue helicopters, but not this shape. It is the same casting as the ADAC Air Ambulance, but it doesn't have "MADE IN W. GERMANY" cast into the side. It's rear rotor is also broken. Now I am getting quite a collection of rescue helicopters. I think each circuit only has one real helicopter. My circuit is just very well equipped. Pictures soon Notarzt (Doctors?) HelicopterThis is my smallest helicopter yet. It can belong to one of the Basics Doctors, even though the figure I have painted as a doctor is actually taller than the helicopter! This one has floats so it can land on water (future project which I will publish when it is finished). The helicopter is entirely made of plastic. The others are cast in metal with plastic parts like the rotors etc. Pictures soon Note: This page uses JavaScript to display the photographs. |
